Hi Guys,
Yes another Navigation Retrofit question from a UK dummy.
There are a few Business Nav systems on the 'bay at the moment - and I am fed up with sticking my Tom Tom in the screen every other day. So I would like to Retrofit Nav in my E60.
My Questions may have been answered previously, but can anyone help:
* My Car is a 2007 Build with MASK - will the Business Nav need programming after Fitment? Rough UK Costs?
* The Business Nav sellers all supply generic GPS receivers - are these ok to use?
* Will I need additional wiring looms?
* Should I look for Proffesional Nav/ can this be fitted?
Any other help or advice would be great.
Best Regards,
Matt

Hi Matt,
1. Yes you will need programming to enable bus. nav. Cost vary since full PROGMAN update depends on your car configuration, i.e. bluetooth/no bluetooth, etc
2. You can use the BMW's GPS antenna for E60 which has to be installed in the fin. In this case you will need to run the antenna cable from the fin to the M-ASK. There is a user here that he decided to use the GPS antenna from E39 which can be installed "anywhere". Have a look here.
3. No, if you are not planning to install the antenna which is located in the fin.
4. Is up to you. Pro. nav offers maps and bigger display but at the same time is more expensive and more difficult to retrofit. According the this thread, bus. nav. retrofit is straight forward.

My GPS antenna is under dashboard and it works really well. So no wiring was needed.
I'm still happy with Business navigation. Well worth for 600? (400?).

. I bought a Bus. Nav. unit from a forum member and I'm planning to install it by the end of the month.
