It is fairly easy. If you want, get the parts and I can help install it for you.. for a small labor fee of course.

Well not sure, but the module from Germany, the Innoparts Sam is $85 shipped from germany. But the extra module you might need to get locking / folding options enabled is another $150. So dont know if its worth it when u can just press the button before you lock up your car.

Also the module does not enable unlock / unfold. only in case some Ahole parks close to you and you unlock your car, the mirrors will fold into it you know?
Agree with that ....

THAT FOLDED POSITION WILL CATCH ALL THE RAIN and SOAK  ! this is for people without own garage, or for those who has,,, when you go out for errands in a rainy day

Just my opinion.

You realize that M5's have this right? So you're saying that the M5 mirrors are not meant to be folding?

Also, have you ever seen M5 mirrors up close? Its two pieces. The water comes out between the pieces.... And these mirrors / parts were designed to go through weather. I'm sure BMW thought of that... I think?

I think you missed the point of the post. All 2004-2007 US Non M5 E60's does not have folding option available, even through programming. I was able to use this module and enable that feature. Whether or the mirrors fold up or in, this post is just saying anything possible with these cars sometimes.

My hands are torn up from this. Took roughly 5 hours to do. I can it a lot faster though since I figured out all the methods to route the wires.

BTW, Thanks to Bruce Miranda on some tips!

Let me know if you have any questions or if you want me to help you do this in the NYC area.

Enjoy!
