I may be very slow or do not understand after going through the tread. I have also 06/530i with CD changer. In my case all I added wad the Dension-500 module and no programming was needed. I was able to have USB, AUX, B-Tooth, and i-Pad interface all using i-drive and steering wheel interface.
Do we need to do any thing else. Am I missing some thing please help

I have it retrofitted on my '06 550i (prod date 12/05), so it's definitely possible. I have used this retrofit kit:
RealOEM.com * Part Cross-reference
Generally it's for LCI cars, but works just as good on pre-LCI cars. I also have the pre-LCI CCC on mine.
Besides the retrofit kit, you will also need a Mulf2High module (I got one from ebay). Coding was done by Patryk (info@bimmer-tech.net) via OBD2.

My Ride: 2005 BMW 525i
Am i beating a Dead Horse here ? So this post seems to be something similar to what i think im trying to do.
I own a 2005 E60 that obviously still have the original Audio Equipment.
- No Navigation
- BT only Phone call compatible.
- CD changer in the glove box
Recently I got my hands onto a 2009 E60 that has all the new upgraded Audio, which includes AUX and USB to play music.
I am trying to upgrade my 2005 audio with the 2009s.
Parts that I already replaced,
- screen
- CD player
- AC controls
- TCU module
Now the 2009 TCU module also has the USB and AUX module. Which connected to a unti knows as the MULF unit. My current car is missing the MULF unit and I need some wiring help on installing the MULF unit into my 2005 E60.
I am not sure if any coding will be required, not only that, I am not sure if this will even work. Currently my IDrive unit is not working. I’m thinking ill have to replace that too.
I know this might be too complicated but maybe you guys have seen this done before and can shed some light on this.
