so i did some researching last night and read some old threads here.. aside from some of my friends telling me to get the resonator removed and emptying my cat. so after school i decided and went and got my resonator removed and replaced with piping. got it done at advance tire and muffler in long beach and ive been referred to them as well. they did a good job. wasnt really expensive either. as for the car its a little louder with my eisenmann and a good amount of a deeper sound.. found myself driving with my music actually on mute and my windows down just to enjoy the sound haha. performance wise i know its lighter without that heavy ass resonator. was there air restriction and is there a difference with air flow for more power at all? well im happy i did it. just thought id post about it.

Man,
First the 128 wheels then the custom Euro front license plate, you're done. The mod bug has you. It's only a matter of time before you get the M-Tech Aero kit. It doesn't stop.

doubt any more power...

my experience was that replacing the resonators w/ straight pipes reduced backpressure and made acceleration slower. high end power was a bit better but low end torque suffered too much , so overall worse across the entire rpm range.

but then after deleting charcoal filter, replacing stock air filter w/ k&n, and letting the computer get used to the new setup, the car pulls harder now so i'm probably back to square one, acceleration-wise.

ive ben driving the car every day lately... acceleration is pretty much the same.. when it gets to maybe about 5000 rpm though it picks up a little more than usual.. just sharing my experience with removing the resonator along with having exhaust and a k&n

My car has been great and B&B sounds really loud, my mom complained that it sounded too loud inside the car and that is true esp. between 1500-3000rpm...besides that I love the sound and have no complaint at all...
