Those look very much like straight-pipe silencers (mufflers) rather than resonator-type boxes. But I may be wrong...

BTW - modifying an exhaust system without serious technical knowledge is more likely to result in decreased performance and comfort, and increased noise, than anything else. And here I'm very unlikely to be wrong.

This topic has been pretty much beat to death. It really is just a simple matter of personal taste. A few here have done it and liked it while others have not. The thing to remember is that the 3 resonators before the muffler are there to help reduce droning noise that may travel to the cabin. The more resonators that you take out the louder and dronier it's gonna be. Also when you remove the resonators it will increase back pressure which will rob you of low end power/torque but at the same time gain upper end performance. It's a trade off, personally I'd just delete the muffler and call it a day.

I've done a search on resonator it's endless topics, but i just want to know if these where the one, but i believe so , i'm just going to take it to the muffler shop and have them remove all of it. I'm sure they should know what is a resonator, i just answered my own questions i guess. thanks anyways.

that's the 1st set, the other one looks like a box before the muffler.

I have just had Dinan Free Flow Exhaust installed on my car. By looking through the pipes, I can see the main pipe. This means that most of exhaust travel straight from resonator to exhaust tip and out. Dinan muffler itself, I think, is just used for reducing a little bit of noise.

Yep, those are resonators as is the big one in series with them. Remove them and you will pick up a highway drone at constant speeds. Your exhaust will not be noticeably louder.

What muffler are you using? I bypass all my resonators and have the supersprint mufflers...always managed to trigger some car alarms in the parking lot
