For the guys in SoCal, what shops are you using to remove the resonators? I know some good places but since I moved they're all a little far for me. Also, VT, you throwing any codes with all 3 deleted? I'm looking to go this route. Can't wait to hear what it sounds with the addition of the RDSport exhaust and all resonators deleted

Try AAA Exhaust on La Cienega Blvd. I'm going there Friday morning. No error codes, b/c I didn't remove my cats.

Those 2 round ones are before cat or after cat? if its before cat then im definitely not touching those...

Im thinking about just removing the rectangle resonator just to get a deeper sound... keep in mind that im keeping the the stock muffler.

Like i mentioned earlier... im trying to get a little bit deeper sound nothing crazy... on my e39 540i i have a borla resonator and borla muffler and its way too loud for me.

Also keep in mind that the car is a lease... i don't want to go over board.
So what you guys think, remove rectangle resonator and keep stock muffler or keep all resonators and just change the muffler?
The two round cannisters are after the cats. I say remove the rectangular resonator and keep the stock muffler. If you choose to keep all the resonators and remove the mufflers, it's going to be loud. If you've heard the Eisenmann Race exhaust, this will be louder than that.

i just got a custom remus set up on my 08 550i sport and i love it, but i kind of want it to be a tad bit louder...do you think removing a resonator would help me here. if so ... which one?

on my old 04 530i i removed the rectangular resonator after i installed an aftermarket muffler and it made a HUGE difference...kind of too much....i dont want to make this same mistake?
what shoudl i do to make it a tad bit louder??!?

"too loud" is subjective.

when i removed all 3 resonators i'd say it made my remus exhaust only 30% louder. i'm now considering a louder setup.

Not remove a muffler entirely... add a borla or magnaflow

Its so hard to decide because i don't want to end up unhappy... im thinking about just shelling out the money for a dinan exhaust since i heard clips and i like the exhaust note.

I believe in the philosophy of you get what your pay for. So if you like the Dinan exhaust, I'd save up for that!
