Just wondering how is the overall concensus and experience regarding replicas. Been eyeing m5 166 replicas in 18" from powewheelspro.com for about 500 bucks( sounds too cheap to be good). Please feel free to give your input. Thanks!

reps tend to either crack easily or cause vibration while driving...
only reps that seem to have good reviews are VMR wheels and Miro M6 reps (style 167)...Miro also makes 166 reps, but I cannot comment on their quality...

Depends on the brand really as replicas can be hit or miss. Miro and Velocity Motoring are safe bets, we have carried these brands for quite some time now because they are JWL and VIA certified. Make sure to do your research on the brand first and see if they have any quality control certifications.

OEM or BBS wheels cost at least $500 each. You want to pay $500 for a set of 4 wheels. How good can they be? Do you think the $1,500 price difference between reps and a quality wheels for a set of 4 is all profit for the OEM supplier? Or maybe the OEM supplier uses superior materials, machine tools and processes?

Maybe OEM or BBS company have a CEO or COO or any other Executive position that requires to get BIG bonus to get their butt up and working! That's where the money goes, you pay his butt. Like what the previous thread said it could be a hit or the other way around.
