Don't expect an exact match when it comes to colors, and finish. Most replicas are cast formed and will have imperfections like dust that get sealed in when the cast cooled. Go with a reputable replica maker, most are from Italy. Make sure you confirm the center bore of the wheel is 72.56mm, not 72.41, or you will have lots of problems.

I think you mean 74.10.... 72.41 would not fit on the 72.51 bore.

As for replicas, I tried everything...rings... road force balancing... etc. We could not find any problems with any individual wheel. I bought mine from Lake Shore Wheels (they were from China). As soon as I bought the OEMs, and I switched the exact tires from the replicas, the problem was gone. It was thus not the tires....

I am not sure TireRack sells replicas for the BMW. 1010wheels does, and it appears that we have one positive report on a set of 18" M5 replicas (they were made in Italy).

I would stay away from anything on Ebay. Most places state that they will not take back the replicas once they are mounted.

The key is not to buy replicas with the wheels in "packages." Buy the wheels, and have them individually spun without tires on a road force balancing machine. It is probably cheaper to get the tires individually from TireRack anyway and pay for the road force balancing.

You do not hear many OEM purchasers complaining about their purchase. There are about 1-2 new posts every month by someone with 19" or 20" wheels (replicas and other aftermarket wheels) reporting vibration.

After spending 5 months fighting the issue thinking I could fix my case, I could not. I want to warn others as much as possible. Had I read the posts, I would have saved 5 months and $1200 for the wheels and service costs trying to fix the problem.

Of course, I'd prefer OEMs, but wow, the replicas are cheap

A set of 19" M6 replicas are just $760.

My biggest concern with replicas would be weight, but the 19s are quite decent at 24lbs each. If that figure is correct, they are a good deal lighter than the OEM 124s.
they are cheep.
why are you concern with replicas weight?
are you going to do some street or track racing???
