In general, I don't like anything but an OEM appearance, love the look of the M-Sport package that some UK E60's get, makes me jealous , I think that would be the long term goal, to give my car the "M-Sport" package.

Are you saying in America you cant buy a 5 series with a M-sport kit on it from the factory?? Is it not just an option when ordering the car? That would suck if you can't. In uk its like a trim level, like how mercedes have classic, elegance and avantgarde, the BMW's have SE spec or M-sport spec as standard. its alot cheaper and easier to order the car with it than buy it aftermarket and then pay for spraying and fitting.
YES! That's exactly what I'm saying I've heard rumours that the M-sport kit will become an option on the 09 5ers, but in the past everything is only an add-on from the dealership or body shop after the fact, nothing directly from the factory. I like the UK trim styles to much better, we don't have SE spec or M-sport, we have the trim lines, 525, 530, 550, etc, and you can add a "sport" package or various options or packages, but it is not the same as an M-sport package, no body work modifications.

I'm sort of cheap when it comes to fuel consumption, i would do anything to have a 520d M-sport here in the states, the BEST in my opinion, and you don't even need to get leather! I'm probably the opposite in many respects of most BM owners

And thanks for the responses, I'll just go the expensive route, hopefully I can find the rims/tires I like for around 1500....i've seen OEM on e-bay for this price.

Thats not fair!!!! lol i take it you don't get the diesel 5-series models over there either then? you could look at ordering it directly from BMW germany, and they would ship it to you etc, may be a little expensive, but you could have the 520d M sport that you really want.

I wish, I think that the 520d probably doesn't meet emissions standards in the US, for now, I'll stick with my 525 which is the most fuel efficient 5 available here...but there is potential of me returning to the UK in about a year, so you know what cars I'll be looking at when I get there

i believe the 520d produces the least emissions out of any of the 5-series range, atleast here in uk it is the lowest c02 band 5-series you can buy, i think its 144g/km. haha thats funny, personally i would prefer the 525i, but gas prices here are ridiculous, i think it works out to around $7/gallon and i cover alot of mileage, so unfortunately i have to live with the tractor engined 520d lol. When you do come here consider the 525d or 530d, gives almost the same economy, around 35-38mpg but has alot more power

Miro and VMR make reputable replicas
+1

Any wheel will bend or crack depending on how you drive.

For example if you drove on cheap rep wheels, I bet anyone would drive like shit and wouldn't take good care of them
...But... if you had expensive wheels like HRE which cost about $6000-7000, you would be very careful when you are driving therefore there wouldn't be any problems like bent wheels

+1 if they bend just get a new set they are very cheap $200 for 1
I drive normal and never go up the pavement so I still take care of my rep wheels
