Back last summer, SparrowTek had a thread in the Vendor Classifieds about Replica 166 wheels.

https://5series.net/forums/topic/927...1#entry1096370

According to Erick, they had fitment available for the xi. I guess he sold out rather quickly, and they don't seem to be getting any more in. I've tried PMing Erick @ SparrowTek, but he's not responding.

Does anyone here know who possibly manufactures these? I'd like to contact them about availability. Perhaps we could interest them in a group buy?

They are listed on modbargains.com. Personally I love VMR wheels!

you need to really examine the replicas before you buy them, cause the 166 replicas i've seen look horrible compared to the oem 166.

I Heard their out there, (but where, LOL), I have NEVER seen any REPLICA BMW rims worth anything, I seen some that look great, but their very, very hard to balance. Try looking at www.bmwwheels.com for new BMW OEM 166s and all BMW OEM rims At 25% off MSRP or better Email or call Garry at BMW Newport for the best service and 25% off bmw MSRP prices.

Good luck with your BMW rims

Thanks, Eddie. I hear what you and the others are saying about reps, and I'd rather go OEM, but in this case, the OEM 166's won't fit an xi. I've been in touch with Garry at BMW Newport about possibly hooking up with some 135's, which are very close in style and will fit the xi.

I don't need to decide until Spring, because I want these for my summer setup.

I have 19" E92 M3 replicas with a low offset purchased from Umnitza. They fit perfectly and were easily balnced. I have slightly more road vibration but that is what I expected moving from 17" to 19". I have also used replicas on Mercedes with no problems.

I agree that I have not seen M5 replicas that look "right". I parked next to a new M3, our wheels looked almost identical.

Are those 135's? If the price from Umnitza is correct (http://umnitza.com/replica-wheel-sty...ls-p-1232.html), you got ripped off!

Garry Romani from Newport BMW quoted me $342 ea. plus shipping for OEM stock # 36118036944 Style 135 wheels. I do like the way they look on your car though.

... and the Umnitza link you provided seems to clearly stated a replica of 135 BUT the price is for a set of 4 not each ...

Good catch! I can't read. Generally those things are individually priced.

So, Bad Debt, it appears you got a pretty good deal!
