Has anyone replaced the wheel liners on their E60. I know when installing the MTech Kit, you are supposed to shave down the wheel liner or you can order the MTech Wheel Liner. My wheel liner needs replacing. Is there a DIY or can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in Advance!

It was easy to do, i actually replaced mine with the mtech wheel liners which require no cutting http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...41&fg=10&hl=28
p/n 51717896605 for left side and 51717896606 for right side. got it from garry for about $50 each.

Replacing them should be pretty simple as removing the screws and taking the old wheel well out.

Nelson,

I'm thinking 'bout doin' the same thing ... how much s/h from Garry? Due to bulky in size rather than weight the shipping cost put me on hold.

When installing the Mtech Front Bumper, your supposed to shave down the OEM Wheel Liner to fit properly in the wheel well where the liner goes into the bumper due to the dimension difference between the OEM Bumper and MTech. I didn't know this until after the fact, so I noticed the wheel liner was not sitting in the wheel well properly. Over time, I noticed the liner rubbing on the tires.

The MTech Wheel Liners are the proper size and do not need to be shaved down.
