So I got no compresion on cylinder 3 on my 2008 535d I stripped the engine and there was a hole in the valve and looks like the piston has melted, a guy on face book has a engine out of a 2006 engine code m57306d4 and mine is m57d30t2 will the bare engine fit?

been having trouble with the gearbox going into limp mode so did a oil change and mecotronics sleeve change but forgot to reset the adaptions and it jumped into 2nd or 3rd gear at 80mph so think it was that or a dodgy injector, gutted
