Hey guys I am taking apart my headlights to do the Orion V2 install and am replacing (trying to at least) my lenses on my projectors. How do I get the lense out? I have adaptive xenon and I don't want to break the assembly trying to get it apart. It looks like I might need to remove a screw that has an encoder on it to get the swiveling brackets to come off the projector so I can take off the bulb reflector.

What do I do?

What year is your car? I know for LCI, you remove 3 screws for the projector. Pry the tabs holding the ring. Then push the lens in. That will push the ring holding the lens in. Then take the ring out then the lens and you're done.

I know theretrofitsource.com sells clear lens for the projectors.

 

It's pre LCI. And I got the lens out but I can't remove it from the assembly, it is too wide it seems to slip out the side or the front. Am I missing something?

 

I had the same problem with my pre-LCI headlights too. I got frustrated and just cut one of the supports. Bent it and pulled the lens out and replaced it. Bent it back and JB weld the cut. Not ideal or recommended. But it worked.

Yeah I was helping a member locally who was replacing the lens, it was a real pain in the ass. I can't remember what we ended up doing, I think he cut them.
