I am looking into an exhaust for my e60 and came across the remus exhaust site here in the U.S. They say that both the sport and powersound are catback systems but I notice that it only shows a muffler with a twisted pipe coming out of it but it does not go all the way down the car.
Is this considered a catback exhaust since it attaches to the cats or what is catback and is remus one of them?
Second how much different is the power sound v. the remus sport exhaust?

The mufflers are axle-back/cat backs depending on applications. Most of them are axle-backs/bolt-on mufflers.
The PowerSound is a QUAD/Dual system, it's a one muffler with an extra functional pipe running to a second pair of tips to create a quad exhaust. The PowerSound application for the E60s does NOT have the adjustable valve due to technical reasons, however the quad systems are slightly louder than the Sports Label mufflers for the E60.

none of the remus exhausts for usa e60's are catback.
(yes, catback means it goes all the way down to the cats)
btw, mine is for sale if you are interested...link

That is odd since it says catback on the site for the bmw sport exhaust.
Why are you selling yours-does it not produce a nice sound? I have a 530i so not sure if yours would fit or sound right since yours was made for a v8-however it looks simply like a muffler so I cannot see why it would not fit.
So what is the best remus product for the 530-a sport or power sound?

Depends on what your needs are:
If you're really into the Quad craze I would recommend PowerSound, slightly louder.
If you are more into a simply deeper, richer exhaust note and don't care for the quad look and price, sports label should be your choice.
His muffler will not fit, the part numbers do not correspond between the 535i, 545i, 550i exhaust and the 520i, 525i, 528i and 530i exhaust.

Thanks matt-I will look into the sport.
But can you please tell me why your site says it is a full catback exhaust if it is not-is this not false advertising? Under the sport exhaust for the bmw 530 it specifically says its a full cat back??
Also does this add any hp to the 530?
