Hi guys,

My car has this "extra" in my option list (S843A MOTORAUSLEGUNG Power reduction). The car is '05 525D with manual transmission and instead of having 177 bhp, it has 163 bhp, thanks to the above option.

Can someone help me with finding the easiest way to remove it.

I'm searching from original EEPROM file from a car which has 177 bhp and it is with stick, in order to read the file and then upload it in my car. I have MPPS v.12, do you think it is safe for me to do this, because I've done this on my old E39s, but never done it on an E60.

It is a bit tricky to find a car which has manual transmission, I know few colleagues around me driving the same module with automatic transmission. I know, again from E39, that I can load the file from an automatic to manual with out any problems, BUT the cruise control will stop working. Do you think the same is applicable to E60 models, or there is more dangerous, as it uses EDC17?

You need NCS-Expert and Ista-p..

I've "rufly" written what i've done.

I don't have Ista-p. Any other way? Using WinKPF or something else? If yours is Manual, do you have something to read the EEPROM and send me the fuel maps, so I can upload them to my car?

 

Mine is with Auto tranny..

I'm not sure you can do it without Ista. You need to update your DDE.

I've managed to flash my car using WinKPF with Daten V45 and now the car should be 177hp.
