Ok then its your turn for a sound clip!! It did make the sound deeper and have more of a bite. I guess after I get used to this I must cut off that $1,500 Dinan Muffler and use it as a paper weight
you can send it to me
I will see it is put to good use.

This sucks. I'm listening to the sound clip through my laptop computer and I can't even turn it on loud cause my son's sleeping next to me (can't leave the room cause I'm currently in a hotel by Disneyland).
Anyway, I'm sure what I'm hearing is not doing justice to the actual sound so I hope to see you in person next Wed at CCH Chris.
BTW, Torquey's car is pretty loud and has a really deep rumble. I use to tease and tell him to park at the park behind my house so I won't get complaints by my neighbors. I might be wrong but I recall it being louder and more throaty than VT's. That would be great if all four of you are there next Wed for a sound-off (VT, Freed0m, JB, T5).

I was referring to the paper weight, hehehee, but feel free to send sound clip as well.
I am at a loss as to what to do about exhaust mod. I used to have an E39 M5 with SS xpipe and Kelleners cans. what a rush that was. I am trying to figure out the best exhaust setup for the 550i. The dinan with straight pipes sounds nice...but
I was also thinking about this.
cutting pipes after two cylindrical resonators and run two pipes to the back into 2 separate mufflers. It appears this will fit. then run two tips out the one side in the stock valence. This would make it a true dual exhaust system. I realize some custom hangers and mounts will be needed but I have an excellent exhaust guy. What I can't decide upon is the type of mufflers to use.
Does anyone have any suggestions on universal mufflers? I don't want it mustangesque, but I do want a nice rumble.

Good stuff JetBlack and nice sound clip!
Lucky you! My setup drones/resonates a tiny bit in 6th gear ~ 3k rpm.

But here is the best part on the freeway in 6th gear it sounds the same as before, so no droning
