The subject pretty much says it all. Can it be done? Has anyone done it? My paint guy said he thought he read if you heat it, it will peel off.

If not, does anyone make overlays?

Take a close-up pic and post it. Might help folks on the forum get a better understanding of your request.

WTF???

After that they would be useless and you would have to buy new ones,
after you get the first ticket from the police.

Sure it can be done.
You would have to remove the healights off the car, remove all bulbs, and at low temp bake the headlight assemblies in the oven to loosen the seals. Checking the headlights every few minutes to be sure not to melt them! ( I have wrapped wet towels around them to steam them, and left the oven door open)

And others have used hair driers...

After that you can have them painted however you'd like, color-matched or blacked out seem to be the most popular IMO

Then you got to reassemble and epoxy them shut (Hardest part), must take your time in order to prevent water gettin in!

Good Luck, would be pretty cool to see on a Bimmer
