Greetings:

I've seen a number of 5 series vehicles without front license plates and, IMHO, the car looks better without one....question: my car is 3 weeks old and there is a square space that holds the license plate that appears welded on...it does not appear as though the license plate holder is easily removed....therefore, is there a special plastic strip that I need to order that will give me the look I am seeking?....should I have made arrangements with my dealer when ordering the car and/or prior to picking up the car?

It should just be held on with two small phillips head screws. The only bad thing is that the dealer puts that bracket on and after taking it off you notice the two small holes on your bumper

before i took delivery, i specifically told my dealer NOT to put the front plate frame on. by default, they drill if not asked (my dealer, i mean).

People make plugs for those holes. It has been posted before and it looks pretty sharp. I actually like having my front plate on and will hopefully keep my Euro plate on my car when I return to the states. If not I will have one made like this one:

Except the "R" wouldn't look as normal in the mirror as the picture suggests.

I wonder what other phrases you could spell?...

Well, I dont have my pictures with me but since I have been here I have seen plates that had the following words:
BITCH
CUM
FAG
BARS
MILF
COCK
BITEN 666
BAD MF

A little Humorous for us english speaking folk. These plates are from Germany and Belgium.

That's funny -- did they spell those words left to right? In my earlier post, I was wondering what could be spelled backwards so that it would read properly in a mirror...

Wasn't backwards. Still looked great though. In my area, Bitburg-Prum, the first 3 letters of the plate are BIT. Americans can be thieves around here so people with a BITCH plate have to be careful.
