Hello diesel tuners!

I'm planning to remap my 12/2004 black on black 535d. Right now I'm scanning through different options for remap. If everyone could share their mods, it would be useful for peoples in the same situation.

Please state your:
-car model
-which remap
-before and after figures
-other power mods, and it's contribution for increased power if known
-dyno chart if available

-which remap: evolve automotive- 530d remap level 1
-before and after figures: 231bhp to ~275bhp

standard before
512 lb/ft torque after
no idea of BHP, not interested (as its torque that pushes you along the road)
by B&W chip tune (jason)
sprint booster
larger intercooler
faster than my boxster S

 

535d

Before, Around 272bhp standard

After. Had it on the rollers with boost hose hanging off ( long story ) it made 319bhp. torque, no idea as it tried to rip itself out of the rollers nearly killing the guy standing in front of the car

It has been remapped again for more power so going by the above and a more powerful map looking around 350+ bhp

Evolve Remapped it. Excellent service.

@ Dave any chance you can give me the dimensions of your bigger intercooler and where you bought it. I am looking at the same but looks a big job with some cutting on the inside of the bumper

 

hi paul, they used my original intercooler (albeit slightly modified) and increased the core size for better/bigger flow
done by southern radiators, cost ?250 inc
i will try to find out the capasity/sizes for you.

I have a EVO 7 intercooler but would take a bit of cutting to get it to fit. It could be done though just depends if I take a mad moment some day and go for it.

After: around 270bhp
Other mods: none yet, looking for another turbocharger and intercooler options, also looking if i can get it upgraded with a second turbo (to get 535d power
Dyno chart: N/A

 

See attached picture of Idrive screen: 6.9l/100km average at 89km/h average speed (2/3rd motorway, 1/3 town) (~34 MPG US, 40.9 MPG UK) after remap. Not bad for a 4 wheel drive estate 530d.

 

Remap finally done

-535d 11/2004
-DPF removed
-custom remap by a Finnish tuner
-standard (but without DPF) 272hp/4400rpm and 540Nm/2450rpm
-remapped 364hp/3650rpm and 720Nm/3300rpm (rail and boost pressure untouched)
-strong pull in every gear, must now shift at 4000rpm latest because pulls harder when upshifted earlier
