I wonder if anyone has any experience on this matter on a 525d, I have a 2005 525d and am thinking about going for a few more HP. I have searched but cant find anything actually on the 525.
Whats best, a remap or box? From what I've read then anybody who's gone down this road seems very happy.
Thanks in advance.

Looking into this myself and believe that the remap is the right way to go. Tuning boxes, if I'm not mistaken, are not specific to an individual car and apply larger quantities of fuel and possibly don't take other parameters into account. It will be a remap for me!

Remap is tha thing !
I tried out box tuning on my 525d. The diesel particel filter didn't like that much. Power was ok, but I was not comfortable with it. Pulled it out after two test drives.
I then did a remap. You cannot tell that it's remapped during normal driving. It's like nothing has been changed, before you clamp your foot in the bottom. Then all comes to life !

Just love it how the remap was done.
