I'm not getting new wheels until i need new tires, but i was wondering if anyone has put spacers on their rear wheels to bump them out a bit and possibly have a little better handling?

I know that lomag was using 15mm spacers when he had 124s. FYI... At the Wheel Power Meet, I was informed that they have H&R spacers in stock now.

What are people's thoughts on running spacers on my rears only? Keep in mind I have the xi model.

Anyone a former Audi modder that has done this to their rears only? I'd have to believe if you can do it on an Audi Quattro, you can do it on an E60 xi...

Well, if you went with spacers on stock 17" which width might you go with? 10, 12, 15?

I have stock 18's. Should that matter?

Out of a fluke of events, I had 20mm spacers on my OEM 17" wheels for a bit (I had them on old replicas #166s, and I could not remove them myself). I have to say that they looked good.
I think that you could get some kind of spacer and do fine.

Was that for all 4 corners or just the rears? My thinking here is that pushing the rears out on the xi and leaving the fronts as is, will effect the AWD system. I figured some Audi owners might know...
