I just ordered the ACM module from BMW with the intend to add a rear view camera since the car is without PDC (and my wife is driving it :'( ).

Does anyone have experience with other then the PRICY original BMW camera ?

This is a topic on the ACM module;

How much does ACM cost? You can buy Eclipse backup cam which should work, too.

My530i you're fast!

Dealer qouted EUR 425 (around USD 550). And it would be 1,5 hrs to install, but I'll give it a try myself.

Does the Eclips have th right connector and stuff ?

I want one. Vishen(?) mentioned that it won't be available until Jan
I've never use Eclipse,but I'll give it try next time. Right now, I'm using Kenwood CCD-900. Does not look like, but it's crystal clear compared to Eclipse one on Lexus models.
I'm not sure about connector. Need to look more closely at the installation doc. I'll let you know.

That's the one that I'm talking about. Now the question is how we mount it unconspicuously

SWEET! Do you have the part number of the ACM module? I think I can get it too, because Thailand order parts from Germany, so I can get European parts.

Midget,

How's the ACM module order coming along. I gave my dealer the part number and they said its available, but they're not sure what that unit is exactly. They're still waiting for an answer from BMW Thailand on whether it can be installed in my car. I don't see why not, but I still have to wait. Any news on your side?
