I don't like those reflectors...

Wow, thats real helpful in answering the posters question, thanks.

Back on topic, it is very easy. I used a small flathead, they pop right out. The replacements pop right in.

What the heck is wrong with your dealer! A nice looking girl comes in with a Bimmer and they want to rip you off like that, If I was the service advisor your install would be free and it might even come with flowers lol

Do it yourself. It's easy. Flat screwdriver and pop them out.

Post like these are extremely annoying. I didnt ask what you thought, i was simply looking for install help and to see if it was worth it to have the dealership do it. In every mod thread ive read there seems to someone expressing they dont like something when their opinion was never asked for. It would be different if i said hey guys what do you think about this idea, then please chime in.

Definitely DIY, it's not a terribly difficult install.

I like them. I think I'm going to grab a set when I take my car in for service tomorrow.

I prefer the butterknife/screwdriver technique. Wrap either in a t-shirt to avoid scratches. My floss/fishing line kept breaking. FYI, the old inserts have a few more catch points than the new reflectors.

Im going to the dealer tomorrow and i can buy the rear pieces for like 11 dollars a piece but they want like 90 for both and the install. Id rather put that money in the gas tank. Anyone have a DIY for these reflectors?...is it easy? Because i suck at these things. Pay the extra money and dodge the headache or sack up and do it myself?

btw i searched for rear reflectors, red rear reflectors and couldnt find anything in the first few pages of the search. so any help is appreciated.

Are you freaken kidding me! My SA at the dealership called some tech over to my car and said "Hey switch these out really quick". It literally took two minutes to change them and I just drove off. DO IT YOURSELF! Just use a screwdriver and be super careful.

the questions is, why would you want to get rid of them??? dude, looks way better than with the ugly black inserts or colored painted bumper inserts.
I changed mine last week (got the reflectors from Gary) and it gives the rear of my car a new look - i really dig it. M5 trunk spoiler is on the way.
AW girl, this is super simple - as many have said above takes about 2 min and such a simple mod makes the car look way better.
