I don't have pics, I was going to take them but it all happened so fast. I just did this last week.
1. Open trunk
2. Remove the two liner pieces close to the taillights, battery side, and left side.
3. You will see two screws (silver in color) on each side of the taillights, these actually hold the apron on.
4. Remove all 4 screws and washers, don't drop the washers :-).
5. Go to each wheel well and remove 4 screws (each side) that attach to the liners.
6. Slightly pull on each side and it will release from the car, don't overly exert, the side come out very easily.
7. From the rear, raise a tad up and pull straight back. Should come out freely.
This was on a 550i with the M Tech Apron.
I was pleasantly surprised how simple these are to take off. Now, the front is a bit different.
