the 535d is still good fun, just a little strange smell when using the Diesel pump.

The Steptronic is very funny, yes ..

I doubt that it is a stock 545i,
It was : andy545 is a member of this forum and I asked him .

but i can take 100-200km/h time and you will be ashame with your huge time compared with mine.
My car is a diesel

You don't understand : 0-200 depends on how many HP you have ... -----> more HP ---> more speed .
Ok ?

That's correct.

HP = speed
Nm = power

The car with more HP is the faster one.

Nm allows you to accelerate, even when you're in the wrong gear and doing only 800 rpm's. HP is what you need for speed, Nm is what you need for trailer pulling. period.

Don't let us have another one of those silly discussions about Diesel vs. Petrol, please.

Have you ever drove a chipped 535d??? I guess not. The 535d is "slow" from dead start (mine should be around 5.9sec from 0-100km/h) due to the short 1st gear and steptronic. I really doubt that any 545i (stock or chipped) can be faster than me above 100km/h. If you don't believe it, i can make a video from 100-250km/h and then compare with your times of yours 545i.

Or another way of putting it - acceleration times tell you SFA about how fast a car will ultimately go. Acceleration is a function of engine torque (and therefore power) but also of gearing, car weight and weight distribution, and driver skill. Top speed is (almost) only a function of engine power + aerodynamics.

If anyone does not believe me, they are more than welcome to drag race against a supercharged Ariel Atom. It will run out of puff at around 150 Mph ("bad" aerodynamics + gearing, probably) - and so can easily be beaten by most high-spec BMW when delimited, but will definitely whip the ass of ANY BMW up to 120 Mph - infact of anything on 4 wheels except a very few supercars (and I'm talking Bugatti or McLaren). Take a look here

then forget about what I said
no, Tony is right I only buy Shell V Power Diesel and that is the best and highest level of gas fuel for diesels last longer and gives a booost

when your car is remapped always change airfilters and then you must use the best available fuel the tuners always mention it did not they tell you Tiago?

Actually I did and I also drove against one, and I was faster.

I bought a stock replament air filter from K&N, because you should improve air flow in every car (petrol or diesel) when it is remapped. About fuels, it isn't like petrol that higher octanes give a better burn. A cleaner diesel burn almost the same than a ordinary diesel. You won't notice the difference on the performance. The main difference is that a cleaner diesel prevent the fuel injectors to get dirty, internal rust and make a bit less smoke. About reducing fuel consumption, from my personal experience it will reduce at lower speeds and it will increase at higher speeds.

About the DPF, did you any of you hear any story about the DPF failures in remapped Diesel BMW's?
