My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
I was looking at the RDS dual exhaust - I like the configuration. I called the dealer in Los Angeles and he is waiting for his first one.
Has anybody installed one and what does it sound like?
I am thinking of just getting the mufflers/silencers and splitting my exhaust from the resonator back, or I may take the resonator out of the loop - not sure. I don't want it too loud on the freeway, but I want to be able to hear the car when I accelerate.
I like the sound of the Hamann system, but don't like the configuration.
Also, what happens if you don't have the vacuum valve on the one exhaust pipe like the stock configuration?
