Just purchased a 2005 545i from a BMW dealership in NY. So the next step is to obviously join a E60 forum.

How did I do on this deal, $29,000 before taxes. About $31,500 after taxes and other fees.

2005 545i, titanium silver, 31,000 miles, sports package, lumbar seats, parking sensors, still under original warranty plus an additional 2 yrs or 50,000 miles NO NAVIGATION

Give me your honest opinions

I think you did pretty good. Sport Package is key IMO. Is it a manual?
If I were you, I would IMMEDIATELY extend the warranty to 100k, and see if you can purchase a maintenace package for 100k.

My $.02

Get the Navi for sure. Sounds like a pretty good deal, did you get the maintenance history from the dealer? Carfax won't tell you what was serviced, which is key to buying any used car. Good luck!

It's automatic, I was going to purchase the maintainance but my boy from high school works in a BMW car shop. He said he will take care of any maint. for me for free.

I got the maint. history and the carfax, both were flawless with all maint. done on schedule. The navi really isn't that important to me. All my other cars have had a factory installed navi and I still end up using my Garmin.

By the way, there was not even a single scratch or dent even prior to the car being detailed and serviced.

BTW thanks for the warm welcome and responses.

Sounds like a solid deal.

Good job it always pains me on here (or other forums) when I see someone pay like 36K for a similar car as yours. Sport package is the key like someone else said. Chances are you won't have been to happy with the BMW Nav. since your fimilar with the Garmin. BMW Nav. back then was very basic. So don't worry you don't have it.

Enjoy the car. They are alot of fun.

I think thats pretty good too actually. I dont think 63k is that many miles, but I come from a Lexus world mostly.
