Does anyone who uses Rain-X think it might have some effect on the wiper speed sensor?

I've been using Rain-X for many years. I first noticed the speed seemed low for the particular amount of rain after a recent application of the Rain-X.
I found that the wiper sensitivity wheel on the stalk was set low and adjusting it seemed to help. (There have been some threads about that adjustment).
At slow or no vehicle speed the glass is not cleared well and I use the wipers. At highway speed they are off.
I really don't think there is an effect on the wiper, but I was interested on other's thoughts.
Regarding repairs, the Rain-X will eventually "wear" away and then the chips may be fixed.

No, I don't believe I have noticed a difference. Rain-X works great, the only issue I had was when trying to repair some small rock chips that were thrown at my car by a large truck a few months back. The glass place couldn't get the repair to work right because of the "slipperyness" (I know that can't be a word but seemed like the easiest way to explain it) of the windshield.
I'd have thought a windscreen repair place would use an alcohol wipe before putting on the "suckers" anyway.

In my experience, Rain X is quite effective at repelling water.... but over time the stuff wears off and begins to gum up your windshield. The wiper blades then chatter on the glass. Your only options then are to re-apply Rain X or to discontinue use and wait for it to eventually wear off. Removing Rain X is very difficult, if not practically impossible. Most car dealerships will tell you not to use the stuff at all.
