Hi all,
I currently have 20" Rad R10s on my car w/o Sport. I am debating between getting an OEM setup from a member or dropping it with coilovers or a Eibach spring/shock combo.
Does anyone have pics of 20" R10s on an E60 with sport suspension? I'm wondering if the .7" drop will be enough or should I go with a 1.2" drop.
I'll try and take some pics of my current setup and post them later for others in the future as a reference.
TIA,
Mike

Wheels on stock sport suspension without M Tech Kit
Wheels on stock sport suspension with M Tech Kit
Wheels on KW Variant 2 coilovers with M Tech Kit
In the second set of pics, the M Tech kit gives the impression that the car is lower than without the kit. But I think most will agree that lowering the car either with springs or coilovers will look the best.

Thanks for all the pics - that was exactly what I was looking for, especially the second set.
I currently have the Mtech kit and agree that it gives the illusion of having a smaller gap. I like the look of the coilover setup but due to cost, comfort and convenience may go with the sports setup plus Mtech kit.
Just another thing to decide on once again. I feel like this car is a second job for me but I'll never quit
Thanks again

You got it backwards, Jerry. Tony was using the typical albeit incorrect aspect ratio of 35/30. 30/25 are atypical and still are.

i thought the 35/30 is for people with 19"?
although i can't imagine how safe the wheels will be running 30/25....

Yes, 20" wheels should be fitted with 30/25 aspect ratio tires to maintain the same overall rolling diameter, but most are wary to use these sizes. Comfort and safety are two big reasons why people instead use 35/30 aspect ratio tires.

I think it will. I had 275/30/20 on the R10s when they were on my 545 with sports package and they rubbed over bumps and dips. But once I installed KW V2 coilovers, I was able to stiffen up the shocks and lower the car more without any rubbing.
