Thanks all, seems unanimous for sure on the V1...

I just wish it was strealthier on the install....Wonder if I can replace the clear suction cups with black ones

Top left of rear view mirror seems like the place to hardwire it I guess....

I'm going to take a look at that Passport LIDAR jammer too (thanks 6dinan) since the police here in Roseville use laser
Why not the clear ones? I personally think they look better then if they were black. Less noticeable. Here check out member Don Juan's DIY for the Hardwire.

I've hardwired mine into both of my E60's and it's out of sight and perfect. Half the time, most people don't even realize it's there.

Calton, where did you place yours? Above the mirror to the drivers side or passengers? I would like to place mine to the passengers side, but it seems like it will not sit correctly on the passengers side, due to the angle of the mirror.

So I have a V1 on the way...

I'm trying to decide where to hardwire it. I like EuroCarFan's top left of rear view mirror. Anybody else have any good pics of their idea of the best place to hardwire the V1?

Thanks in advance....

I've got mine top left as well. Easy to reach when I want to silence it.

I need a v1 very soon. I also want to get those clear license plate covers from BavAuto that supposably work as well and they cannot read your speed. I heard they are legal.

I have mine hardwired on the top left of the rear view mirror. You can also get this thing put into your mirror for an even more stealth look.
