This is something for you guys to consider if you finally won the lotto and
want your 550i to spank the m5...

Or if you want a very subtle yet amazingly fast supercar..

http://www.racdyn.com/Localized/Internatio..._Motor_Body.htm

For your info they also offered a comptelety redrilled and lightweight 6 litre stroker engine that produced
in excess of 600 horsepwower and revved up to 9000rpm... dare i say its better than the v10 5litre found in the m5

Project C (Code Name TYPHOON).
The fastest yet. An E60 powered by a 7,2 liter, direct injection, quad-VANOS, V-12 with no less than 600HP. Follow its development on these pages.

Very cool. I want one in my 545i. Incidentally, you posted a link or two for the 545i HP and torque curves earlier. Do you have easy to post links to English versions of these items. If so, then I'd appreciate it if you would post them. I am too language challenged to try to deal with German very much. Thanks in advance, but don't go to any trouble.

znod, i have no way of getting anything in english becuase all the *chipping* places i check out are in germany and closest to me. I have never had any experience with the reliability of other tuners and am therefore unwilling to post their findings

I've read the European Car article about the six series with this motor. I also read comments from the owner of that six series but I forgot which forum it was on. EC had misprinted the 0-60 time at 5.8 but the actual time was 4.3!!

Wonder how much the complete conversion would cost.

For that kind of money, I would rather get an M5. Probably will have better resale value. Even better, Dinan will come out with a supercharger for the M5; then, it's history.
