+1 on only the lower grill. That's what I did. I've had it for about a year - powerdercoat black. The only negative is it has 3 or 4 stone chips which reveal the stainless underneath. Racemesh says that's normal wear and tear.

I would stay away from the mesh kidney grills. but that is just me
