i was looking into getting them but i thought they were a rip off and actually decided to make my own.. i got these metal sheets with 1/4inch holes pattern on it from ebay and then cut them with metal cutters.. it actually came out really good and looks the same..

I had the racemesh grill when i had my M5 front bumper, had electropolished (chrome) version...didn't like it that much...black is better. The mesh is really expensive too, not worth the money

................it's always been a thought for the lower grill ............but only in flat black .The kidney grills would make your car look like a Pontiac,,,,IMHO

Mine is more subtle, I only did it at the bottom.
After a few months, as the grill got dirty and darkened, it blended better into the look. I did it to protect against flying stones hitting the intercooler and brakes.
