Got my R1 concept rotors and I thought something was wrong since the fronts were silver and the rears are black. I'm told this is a zinc coating to prevent rust and that the pads will wear it off. Anyone else have experience with this?

Yes, I bought these for one of my other cars. The black will wear off within a few applications of the brakes, leaving only the hats black.

congrats on the new rotors make sure you have somebody install it right and hope the fitment of it is good,
got the same one about 2 months ago and for some reason the fitment of the r1 concept was not spot on, so it did made that
clingy sound whenever you step on the brakes it got really annoying so i decided to go with the m5 rotors and m5 calipers instead
good luck and keep us posted

Hopefully I dont run into any problems. My indy loves his Bimmers and has a pretty impressive stable himself. I'm in good hands and it only costs me $80! I'm going to change the brake fluid also, I'm so I-drive obedient lol
Guess I should paint the calipers at the same time now that I think about it.

Your setup is really sweet, a little out of budget for my actual needs right now Your car has come a long way quickly!!!
