Yeap, I just got a laser ticket and am strongly considering the lidatek.
Laser is the only ticket I've ever gotten (stopped twice). Who here has a Lidatek and has had it save them from a laser ticket??
It seems quite popular among M5 drivers and has gotten good reviews. Send Beewang a PM as has negotiated a special group discount, but contact him right away so you don't miss the deal. I ordered one as well

Okay fellas.... here is the skinny.
I spoke to my connextion w/ LidaTek here is the deal.
I need to put together a Group BUY of and purchase 16 "Transpoders" of Lidatek.
1) Normal Pricing: Complete LE-30 w/ just one transponder $400
Group Buy Pricing $300
2) Extra transpoder Normal Pricing $150
Group Buy pricing $131
** Note... We need to commit 16 tranponders and NOT units of the complete LE-30s, I only need 8 people to buy the 2 transponder setup. and we are done!
Thus far there are 4 people (including myself) who wants the Dual Transponder set-up.
The only thing I need from you is your:
Name
email address
Phone number and address.
You do not pay me....once we have our quota filled I will submit the name list to my contact at Lidartek. Once he receives the list, you can then call Lidatek directly and place your order w/ them w/ the discounted price. That is all.
If you need more info on Lidatek, read these links:
Lidatek web site
M5 board Archive discussion w/ Key word "Lidatek"
And another one
My Valentine One has saved me at least 5x it's cost in tickets I didn't get. It's the greatest thing ever.
Although a trippy thing happened the other day. The cops set up one of those trailers with the speed display on it. They usually do this to set up the road so they can legally use radar on the street (this is in Cali). Anyway, I was driving by it and my V1 didn't go off.....at all. I was like WTF!? I literally turned around to drive by it again and nothing. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, nothing. Yet it has worked before and after for cops all over the place.
I wonder if the cops came out with a new type of radar or something.
PS - My V1 was purchased less than a year ago so it pretty much has the latest software updates.
My tried and true V1 has done the same thing to me as well. One of the "side-of-the-road radar trailers" was picking me up for at least 1000 feet and Nada from the V1.
I went by it again the next day and the same thing. This was the only one that didn't set off the V1. I thought I was just crazy. Although I still think that I may be crazy at least I know that my V1 is "not alone".
I've never figured out why, BTW. (My V1 is around 6 years old (but has been upgraded somewhere along the way)).
