Hi All,

I may be doing an install in the near future on an e60 545, I dont have the full details of the car yet but i wanted to do my research before i get started.

the main quesiton i have has to do with adding video screens for back seat passengers. and searching the fourm came up with some rather confusing info, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. what type of seats can a headrest screen go into? comfort or non-comfort? All i know is the car has motorized headrets

2. has anyone tried to mold a ultra low profile overhead screen into the car?

again, thanks for any info, i have done older style bmws, but a e60 is new to me

You weren't too specifc about what you already came up with after a forum search so just in case you didn't see it already, take a look at this (long) thread to see what some of us have done using a console mount...

thanks

i understand there is a console mount, but i am looking to do a more integrated and more normal viewing angle install. the center console mount int he past for me has been more prone to induce motion sickness for people

i did see a coupla headrest installs on the forum while searching, and there was a mention of sport seats and active headrest restraint preventing this. but there seems to be confusing info whether or not it shte sport seats that allow headrest mounting or it is them that dont.

i just found out this e60 has sport seats and motorized headrests, so can it be fitted wtih a headrest screen?

sorry for my lack of bmw-options name proficiency.

THanks again Rudy,

but i was referring to this post:

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...eadrest+monitor

and this picture:

and later in this post

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=8517&hl=

there is am ention that the active restraint headrests cannot allow a screen to be put in.

but i was a bit ocnfused as to if the sport seat is the one that has active restraint, or the comfort seats that have that feature

Comfort seats have the active restraints, not the sport seats.

Thanks for adding the detail to your posts, it makes it way easier to understand what you're looking for...
