Hi all,
I bought the replicas at Lakeshore wheel and tire. The 19" staggered are $850 for the set. They put on some General Exclaim tires and balanced everything for $1596 (delivery included). I probably could have done a little better getting the tires separately from TireRack (Lakeshore does not specialize in tires), but having everything balanced ahead of time will save time in the dealership. Those General Exclaims are a good alternative for 19" wheels ($126 front, $150 rear at Tirerack) compared to the $300 tires.
I freaked out yesterday because UPS delivered 3 of my 4 boxes on Wednesday without signature, and then told me that I needed to be there to sign for the last one. I told them that I would pick the 4th box up this weekend, but then found that they are not open on Saturdays. Now, I have to wait until Monday to install the things.
Thanks for the advice on the tire sensors and the metal valve stem issue.
Richard
Richard: Let me know if you can notice the difference or if they are really good rides. I am affraid but the price is calling me to buy aftermarket and save some more money for the body.

I am sure you will love the look. I am thinking to paint my wheels in black. I saw a great pic of an M5 in swiss and it was very impressive. I don't know why in europe they like wheels in dark or black. Any comments?

Yeah, they need to wash off the brake dust occasionally.

"Miamie60," I also live in Miami, and I have not seen many M5 setups here -- suprising considering the environment. I will definitely report back on the change. I can say that the existing Conti 17" tires are really bad. I don't know why BMW uses these Contis for the 530i, as they are very cheap for an OEM choice. I always wonder if some dealers shift the more expensive tires out to resell the better tires to others. These General Exclaims, which are also inexpensive but rated highly, should offset the extra noise from the larger tires (and possibly do better).
