have had my car for a little over a month now. while cleaning it this morning i took a look at the coolant level and its at "MIN"
does the car use more coolant in the summer time with the really high temperatures and having the A/C on?

i dunno if it was originally at this level from the factory since i didnt check it when i first got the car. obviously gonna go top it off today.

(guess im kinda nervous since the car has no temp guage) :'(

many thanks

As with most cars, in warmer weather, the car's thermostat opens up to let more coolant into the engine block in order to provide extra cooling. In the winter, the thermostat stays closed to allow the engine to get to normal operating temp faster and it will only open if the engine gets up to a higher than normal temp.

That said, if you fill the coolant up now and later the thermostat closes, you might overflow the reservoir with all the extra coolant.

My advice is to leave it at minimum where it is now. You will get a "low coolant" warning on the dashboard if it falls below the minimum level...
