I am looking at a set of used 20" RS-GTs w/ Mich PS IIs. They say the rears are 295/25/20s, and they came off a standard E60. I have an '05 545, stock. These tires are awful wide, will they fit with no mods/rubbing? I am not looking for the widest tires, but in reseearching wheel/tire combos, what is the largest tire size anyone recommends? Thanks... Also, I see most cars with 20s seem to have a taller sidewall than these. Do you go over the 25.8 inch overall dia that is stock for these cars?

285 seems to be the biggest I've seen mentioned on here with 20"s. I am assuming you have the sprt package, I would think that 295's would rub. I am sure other members will chime in. GL

If you do a search for 295/25/20 you will find some members that have them...PM them and see if they have issues.

That was a good idea, but I tried to search for 295 in both Signature and Ride entries and came up empty.

poleposition use to run 295/25/20 on his rear wheels, but wasn't sure what his offset is. I'm also curious about this topic if 295 will fit or rub.

I've got 295s on an 05' 545 with a sport package, and they don't rub one bit. Not even with a loaded car. It just depends on your offset...

Thanks, that's good to hear. Not sure what the offset on these wheels are. What's yours?

They're both ET:24. Not quite sure if you understand that number, but maybe someone can chime in with more help.

Actually I don't. Is that the same as offset? I understand what the offset is: the distance from the centerline of the wheel to the hub. So it ET 24 an offset of 24?
