I took my 545 in for an unscheduled oil change. (4000 miles)
I also complained about the radio staying on after removing the key and walking away.
I asked about upgrading my software to the newest version suggestion that that might fix the problem.
6 hours later I went in to pick up the car. He said that the car didn?t need a software upgrade but a part for the radio.
He proceeded to tell me about a pin or something like that.
Later I received a letter from their parts special order department with the following information:
QTY. (2)
Part Number: 61-13-8-364-838
Description: CONTACT
My question is what are these parts?
Wouldn?t a software upgrade take care of the radio problem?

Thats just a connector to connect a wire to the radio
CIP 18.0 software is supposed to fix the following
"The audio keeps playing if the vehicle is switched off for up to 3 minutes (until vehicle enters sleep mode). The audio cannot be switched off with the rotary knob. Only vehicles with CCC (Car Communication Computer) are affected."
The CCC is on cars with NAV ( 2 cd slots )
