Hey guys, i got a few question about the new 5 series Xenon lights. I heard that its the D1S type light bulb, can I just purchase any lightbulb that's the D1S type or does it have to be specifically made for the E60 BMW model? Any particular good brand that'll suit my e60? I'm lookin for a white-white color, instead of the standard yellow-white which I currently have on my car right now.

I heard that the Phillips 6000k D1S is good, anyone know if this is the correct white color i'm lookin for? I dont know about the Ks color guide for the D1S, so help me out here

Oh and for those of you that don't know, the new V3.0 Angelibright doesn't fit on the new '08 models. That's what I'm told....

You can get any D1S bulb. Just depends on how much you want to pay.

I got my pair off of ebay. 6000k d1S bulbs. I have the Euro Headlights on my car and my previous headlights have d2S.

I believe I got the D1S bulbs for roughly 130-140 shipped.

Good luck. and Dont change the Angel eyes, cause the LCI ones are so much brighter than the 2004-2007 angel eyes.

Hmm i'm thinking of getting the Phillips D1S 6000k lightbulb. Will this fit into my 2008 550i? or is it the D2S?

The price for the lightbulb is a bit expensive tho, $250 on ebay...

Your best bet is to probably look in your headlight and see.

and if its d1S, they are expensive, 6000k. =)

Here's a link to a post that shows the bulb types for both the pre-LCI and the LCI...

How are 'Euro Headlights' different from the US spec lights.

Only difference is that, the 2004-2007 Euro lights compared to the 2004-2007 US lights, The US lights have an Amber Corner on it (before any lights get turned on). And the Euro's is silver. Of course You can't see this at night, but during the day, since the lights are not on, you can see the difference. That's the only thing.
