pm me - I have a clear bra design company & I can give you some insight. Xpel carries my designs in their program.

I have a new 550i, and put on what I think is one of the better protectors. Under most light it isn't visible except under close scrutiny when the car is clean. But when the car is dusty, or dirty from road spray, it shows noticeably. In fact, I'm not sure I'm glad I put it on, given that I live in the Pacific Northwest. It has protected from a couple of otherwise nasty rock chips -- but the lines are bothersome.

Wait what and you're not going to share with me? I've been solely using X-Pel design for the past 5 years on all my cars and all my family's cars...

I have the 3M film on my carbon black and I love it...front end (including headlights), partial hood and both front quarter panels. My old 530 did not have a clear bra and after time, looked pretty bad. (Even with weekly washes and Rejex). Well worth it, unless you leased your car. Call Peter @ Inspire Auto (562) 569 3177. Tell him I referred you...good luck!

you should go for ventureshield clear bras it has a lifetime warranty.. i hear that 3m clear bras will turn yellow on you. if you are concerned about the cut off line of the bra do the whole hood.. you won't regret it!

I have Ventureshield, I loved it on my stock bumper. Just got it done on my Mtech few days ago, still on its baking stage.

I got the Ventureshield installed two weeks ago on the hood, fenders and the back of the mirrors. You can hardly see it whether it is dirty or clean. You have to stand right above the hood to see the line. It is true about the 3M, I have it on my wifes Acura TL Perle White, it is yellow and looks crappy but it protects the car. Go for the Ventureshield and enjoy the life time warranty.

Moopai, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... My protector is also Ventureshield. The research I did suggests it is indeed the best out there, better than 3M. But I remain a bit bothered by the lines of the protector when dirty or dusty. It is certainly effective in minimizing rock chip damage, however, as a couple good dingers on my hood and bumper will demonstrate.
