Antti, did you install the LSD yourself?

EDIT: wow, I just looked on ebay and those cost around $1,840.88

Oh no, I didn't. Although now when I've seen it how it goes, I could do it .
That's a very high price, I didn't pay that much .

Can you report the behave of your car with the quaife. 326hp and 660nm is more than enough to spin tyres on dry tarmac.

I'm almost pulling the trigger in order one. Even with 275 at the rear, the wheels spins insanely on 1st and 2nd gear. And 3rd on bad tarmac. I'm more focused in quick launch than drifting.

Well I haven't done many extreme launches or donuts after the install so can't tell much, but I can tell the Quaife works well. Both rear tyres spin in all situations and maybe the car oversteers just a bit more than it used to when cornering. The grip when driving straight forward is much better than before, though. I'm just waiting for the winter now . No extraneous noises whatsoever other than the noise from the spinning wheels haha!

well I kind off blow my diff out yesterday and decided that the best route would be a quaife.
Phone the dealer for a replacement, It's a Germany only part and would take 2 weeks (im in the UK) so called up quaife and they have them in stock and can have one early next week.

Now how are you finding the diff, I've got a 530d auto remap at 291bhp / 700nm. Did you change the ratio. I'll be fitting it myself do you have any tips?

Great looking car, I was on the fence about getting rid but now I think i'll keep it, The cost of changing is going to be alot more than a new diff and a few other mods.

Thanks

I didn't have much chance to drive the QUAIFE on icy roads because I traded the car before the weather got slippery. Until that the differential worked great; no extra sounds etc. When driving "normally" it couldn't been felt/heard. I didn't change anything when it was installed.

I recommend you warm up the old diff to get the bearings off in one piece.

Thanks, This is what i found when i pulled the diff off today

So I've ordered the quaife, £850 + VAT, should have it Tuesday. Just have to get the Oil, a new half shaft bolt (I damaged the head), Loctite, Gasket sealant. I think that I'll get a new prop baring, as the diff came off it fell to piece.

What map was you running to get 326bhp, did you do anything else to the engine, Intercooler etc...

The injectors were updated to 35d injectors and the DPF was completely removed.
