Does anyone know of any quad exhausts that offer performance gains of the RPI? I'm interested in going quad (looking into Remus), but personally if I'm dropping dough on an exhaust I want to see noticeable gains in HP. I know RPI (which is my #1 choice single exhaust option) has the gains I'm looking for, but I'm also looking for the aesthetics of a quad. If a such a quad doesn't exist then it's RPI all the way. BTW, from what I've heard I like the sound of RPI.....VROOM!

I've been wondering the same too. On top of that, why would people with a 530i put on quads? The stock exhaust on most cars in general, is weak, especially if it isn't duals, but wouldn't the sound be like farting in a tunnel? With all that volume for the exhaust to go through, but there's not even enough to fill it up completely, I'm sure it's all aesthetics and no sound at all.

He may be a member on this board:

He has some videos of his car.

BTW, can anyone identify the wheels he has?

Contact Trinity Autosport (Joe and Nerwyll) or AcutePerformance (Michael) for a great deal on these wheels.

there aren't any quad exhaust in the market that comes even close to the RPi exhausts. If you are looking for performance I'm afraid quad exhausts would be the incorrect choice. most production quads such as remus, eisenmann, gt auto house (meistershaft) and RD sport are pretty much the same as stock. there might be a few gains from various exhaust but nothing comes close to RPi.

The custom remus or custom magnaflow mufflers have been proven to loose horse power.

OP:

I have never seen any posts or other evidence of any quads out there giving significant boosts in power.

Get quads if you love the look (I happen to love the look of quads). But if you are looking for your aftermarket exhaust to give you a power gain, I'd go RPI.

Well it does not matter which exhaust you put on the car if you do not tune the car afterwards you are not going to get the full potential out of the mods anyway.
