My Ride: 2007 550i, Mystic Blue over Auburn, 6-Manual, Sports, Premium, Cold Weather, Logic 7, Nav, Sirius, MTec Front & Sides with M5 rear apron, VIS Penta carbon fiber vented hood, OEM M166s, (or Style 101M with winter 19 Blizzaks), BMW Blue Calipers, Custom Quad Exhaust and M5 side grills, trunk finisher and spoiler. Rogue Octane SSK/WSR and Zeckhausen CDV, BMW illuminated shift knob, Delivered 4/26/06 - Ordered 3/18/06 from Otto's (the Best) BMW Dealership.
I was concerned with additional fabrication needed to fit the M5 bumper and hanging points, and I wanted a V8 volume muffler so I gave up and went with a custom Magnaflow setup with a transverse muffler (like the Remus and Haman config). The muffler is Magnaflow #14267 polished SS and the tips are dual 3" polished double wall and they are signed on the side which looks pretty good. The fabricator did a nice job using 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets to the tips, and tied everything above the differential and with solid SS hangers. It looks awesome with the M5 rear apron and best of all the sound is fantastic with zero drone, a nice throat and you cna't even hear it at cruise.
I'm sure my guy would build another and it can be shipped. I'll get around to posting pictures soon.

Hi Guys,
I'm currently driving a e60 523 Lci on remus exhaust.
I've recently bought a m5 rear bumper and im looking for a quad exhaust.
However, did many search through many websites and forums but still can't get
to a decision on which to get. I've even browsed through youtube to hear all of the
exhaust sound. And i'm aware that its different hearing it through real life and through
the computer.
Ok, my main concern is that im looking for a loud, but bassy exhaust muffler.
As its almost impossible to find my exact car with all the different mufflers to hear for myself,
i'm hoping that those guys who've heard the different brands of exhaust to give me some advice.
Im currently contemplating between the following few choices,
1) Remus Powersound
2) Borla
3) Arqray
4) Eisenmann Race
I hope that you guys can give me good advice on which to get as i would not like to make a wrong
choice and end up spending extra money.
Thanks Alot,
Mark

From that picture, it doesn't look as you will get even exhaust flow out of both sides...Which will look funny on a cold day/night when you have more exhaust coming out of the left side than the right side
========================
I had the same fear about my REMUS quad after you mentioned it, but today I saw it when I cranked mine up, and their both sides are equal of right and left side exhaust fumes.

Do custom if you want the sound that you want. I personally think Remus is a little to quite for me.

Looks great ! i heard that there's an adjustable valve ?
What did you set it to ? Closed ? Semi closed? Open ?
And how does it sound during low rpm and high rpm ??
Thanks,
Mark
