Besides, if you had a muffler on both sides and wanted to get an aftermarket exhaust, it'd probably be more expensive because you need 2 mufflers instead of 1.
However, there's a spy pic of the e92 coupe that might suggest what you want...

The only real functional quad exhaust as far as I can tell after spending hours web surfing and visiting several forums is the RD Systems. The Hamman and Einseman system have fake Tips on the right side. The E60 unlike M5 has spare wheel well under car and battery well that is in way of normal muffler. The RD System right muffler fits in vertically between the wheel well and battery well. Also come with X pipe so is not just a cat back system but real system can be purchase with their own headers all the way back to the tips So if anyone knows that Hamman and Eisnenman has functional right side exhaust, please let me know. It seems odd that there is only one manufacturer that has fully functional quad system for E60??
I prefer the look of the Hamann rear valance over RD's though. So wonder if I can install the RD exhaust with the Hamann rear bumper/valance and if everything will line up ok??
Love that M5 look and hope anyone can give feedback. Since most will view my car from rear anyways (Vrrrrm)_ want to look good!!

Exhaust Tip Size:
The RD System has big tips compared to the Hamann or Eisenmann (89mm vs 76mm), but they will still fit in the standard cutout (barely). The standard cutout is about 8" across at the bottom. The stock tips which are the same as the Hamann and I believe the eisenmann are 6" across. The RDS are 7.25" across. I held up the RDS muffler and could just fit it in the standard cutout.
Alignment:
I would assume the alignment would be the same as there is only one basic spot that the right side can be placed with the spare tire. The RD System muffler will fit in the narrow slot next to the spare tire. The location of where the tips come out is exactly symetrical with the stock left side cutout. I would assume the Hamann diffuser is using the same locations.
Worst case is you have a muffler guy install the system that can give you an exact fit.
Since I made the cutout to fit the RDS exhaust with the stock rear apron, If you want, I can measure the seperation of the left and right side that you can compare to the Hamann diffuser. Just PM me.
