Newbie questio here. I have an 06 550i and would like to upgrade to a quad exhaust system. I know i'm also going to need a new bumper on the rear...any suggestions? Anything else I would need? Thanks for being patient.

we can do a custom quad setup and provide the parts. for the rear, you can do an M5 rear, replica M5 rear, custom cut out your stock bumper, or mtech rear with an aftermarket diffuser.

I went with a M5-rep bumper with my quad and I'm very happy with the results. you can see my thread here: exhaust link

if you do decide to go with M5 or M5-rep bumper, you'll want to get the side and front too

Not sure if my quad setup will fit but I'll sell it cheap if you'd like

Thanks guys for the help. Nerwyll, what do you think will be the cost for everything with the custom cut rear or mtech rear with aftermarket diffuser? Also, I read on some post the power loss. What should I do to avoid this?

to avoid power loss, honestly its best not to go with quad. we can do the RPI exhaust if anything, which is an axle-back bolt on with dyno-proven power.

If your just removing the OEM mufflers, and installing muffler with an extra pipe to the right, leaving everything else, do you really lose power by just removing the original muffler(s)? I can see if you do a straight pipe, or having free flowing cats, eliminating adding resonators, then you have a good possibility of changing HP, sometimes not in your favor.

Do you have pics of the custom cut on the stock bumper? Do you guys do a trim? Price?

I had mine done a month ago. I love the sound it makes on my 530i! Never been on a dyno yet but it didn't feel any different to me. If it did lose power I will be getting a remap later anyway so that will off set the loss.
Looks better though:-)
