Yes....don't hate....I like purple HID...saw a e46 with purple HIDs. I know that it reduce visibility...but I have GP thunder 8500k and they suck! My fog lights are brighter then the lowbeams I constantly drive with highbeams...after 6 months enough is enough! What you guys think of the purple HID I think its 12k I have seen some kits go as far as 30k .

I believe the closer you get to 6000K the brighter you will be, you are going the wrong direction if you want bright.

oops I was off by a 1000K

You want brighter headlights? Go with a kelvin temp between 4000-5000, that's the closest to sunlight you'll get.

I don't mind losing visibility because purple looks unique....but I would think that 12k HID would be better then some cheap $15 halogen white coated bulbs?

This gives good info:

http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/appea...you-buy-94774/

Basically, going to purple your lighting is essentially worthless other than being an eye sore.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised if you get ticketed all the time with purple.

Also, the reason why your GP Thunder at 8500K sucks is because they are suppose to suck for visibility. Once you get past 6000K, it's dramatic downhill from there. If you think that's bad, just wait until you put the purple ones on

Haven't been pulled over yet. But maybe its because its my foglights and not headlights that are purple. Yea. Visibility is shit. I drive with the fogs and angel eyes on only.

It really sucks seeing one of the best QBs of our lifetime playing like he is. One has to wonder if its age or coaching. After the coaching shakeup today lets hope for some positives

Now back to your regularly scheduled forum postings
