The place I most often get door dings is in my own garage at home ... from my wife.

Just a good advice; If you buy a shield like that, give it to your wife as a gift and tell her it's to protect *her* car

(otherwise, I can imagine some nasty scenes...). And for heavens sake; dont give it to her as a birthday- or anniversary gift.... (just find another day)
