Hiya guy's I have a weird problem,since yesterday the sound from my pro navigation system keeps going off then back on again and tht's with all source's,the idrive does'nt freeze or reset it just keep's dropping audio and then it come's back for a few second's and then it start's again!I've noticed the bluetooth won't connect either,just keep's switching it's self on and off,wonder if it's a faulty bluetooth module and if so where is it located?

Anyone?I can't seem to find the bluetooth module as it's supposed to be near the battery at the rear trunk well.

Try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes ,,,

Sanj? the TCU or MULF is located on the left suspension tower in the boot.

Thank's for the replie's guy's,i'll check to see if I can find it as it's not obvious when looking near the battery and other surrounding wire's etc,i've tried the battery disconnected for 10 min's and it got worse!

If your looking near the battery then your on the wrong side lol, left side where the amp, tv module and DAB module would be located.

Doh! Thank's for that Blood,found it disconnected the unit and the audio is fine now but i've lost bluetooth,i've seen some replacement unit's but they seem to differ slightly as I have only a white connector at the top of the unit and the one's i've seen have four(three different input's as well as the white)would this be fine for my car,mine's a 2005 July build?

What bluetooth have you got? theres a couple of different versions. Bluetooth with telematics (BMW assist, Online. TCU) and just bluetooth (MULF).

Just bluetooth Blood,nothing else.Would it be better to pickup the better one and get it coded to work with mine or just buy a simalar one to the one I have?

So you have an MULF then, ermmm if the wires are there for a TCU then you could retrofit a TCU, the coding would be fairly straight forward.
